Oxfordshire PHAB Area Committee Annual Report 2000/2001
Support for clubs
The PAC field worker provided support for the clubs at Abingdon,
Banbury, Grove, Oxford and Thame.
The clubs, which are charities in their own right - affiliated to
the PAC, all had an active year carrying out their own programmes.
Unfortunately there is still no PHAB club at Henley, although the
field worker has been in discussion with local organisations about
the possibility of setting up a club in the town.
Events
The PAC organised three events during the year.
- A disco and presentation in January 2000
- A disco combined with tbe AGM in July 2000
- A disco in March 2001
All the events were well attended by members of all the Oxfordshire
clubs.
Liason with other organisations
The PAC field worker acted as a liason with OXRAD and with city and
county council committees relating to disability. She was also in
touch with other PHAB field workers in the South East region.
The PAC representative participated in meetings of the PHAB South
East region, making sure that the views of club members in the
county were heard at regional level.
